We are pleased to invite applications for the position of MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager and based in Lombardstown, Mallow, Co. Cork, the Maintenance Electrician will work closely with the existing maintenance/production team to maintain the plant and ensure that plant downtime is minimised and plant throughput maximised. The electrician will have a key role to play in ensuring the site operates to the required electrical standards. Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: Planning, risk assessing, executing and accurately handing over any electrical works on site; Responding to plant downtime and ensuring any contributory electrical, instrumental or automation issues are resolved as quickly as possible; Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures; Interrogate, fault find and resolve any problems that are shown on any of the following equipment: o Milling and Grain plants contolled by ICM; o Mitsibushi PLC Controls and Wago profibus equipment which are linked with a SCADA system; o Variable speed drives, soft starts especially Danfoss; o Siemens PLCs o Precia Moelen weighbridges o Atlas Copco compressors o Motor switch gear and general services o Laboratory test equipment o Bagging ,Palletizing and Robot systems(Statec-Binder). o Boilers/ boiler control system. o Various other plant automation /control systems. Full utilisation of current & future Dairygold IT systems; Optimise plant reliability to facilitate delivery of required volumes and deploy CI problem solving tools & techniques to address any downtime issues. Active participation and meaningful engagement in continuous improvement activities and meetings including but not limited to: 5S implementation and auditing, work groups, PSE / RCA, AMIS etc. Candidates for this position must possess: Full Electrician Qualification; 5+ years industrial experience essential; Availability to work shift with call out; Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills; High level of instrumental competency is required for the role; Proven record of dealing with highly automated production processes; Results-orientated with a proven record of achievement; Excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyse issues and problem solve in accordance with our CI philosophy; A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude.
