We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial and Food Innovation Manager to join our Product Brands team.
This role will be primarily responsible for managing end-to-end commercials and ensuring retail and wholesale margins across our product portfolio and driving our Food Innovation agenda.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food innovation, new product development (NPD), and existing product development (EPD).
You will work with the Director of Product Brands to develop and implement the commercial strategy for our Product Brands.
The Commercial Manager for Product Brands will play a pivotal role in designing the short, medium and long-term strategy for our Retail Product Brands, including Donnybrook Fair, Frank & Honest, The Happy Pear, Mood and Clean-Cut Meals.
As Commercial & Food Innovation Manager for Product Brands, you will develop and implement the commercial strategy for our key Retail Product Brands.
You will lead the development of our Product Brands.
You will monitor the economic environment, current market trends (retail, food production and financial services), customer and consumer feedback and trends, and specific competitive factors and their impact on the brands and develop appropriate solutions to ensure our offer remains relevant, competitive and compelling.
You will prepare and implement appropriate short, medium and long-term objectives and plans to develop our brands and drive our sales and profit.
You will ensure that appropriate commercial policies, practices, standards and disciplines are fully embedded across our brands.
With the support of our Finance team, you will establish and track appropriate KPI`s across the business and report progress against goals and targets at management meetings.
You will work with the Director of Product Brands to carry out business analysis as appropriate to identify areas of potential commercial growth and opportunities in sales, acquisitions, margin and profit.
Hybrid - Cork and Dublin Key Responsibilities · End-to-End Commercials and Retail/Wholesale Margins: Oversee the complete commercial process to ensure optimal financial performance.
Manage pricing strategies, cost structures, and profitability analysis.
· Food Innovation and Pipeline (NPD/EPD): Lead the development and execution of innovative food products from conceptualization to market launch.
Manage the product development pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of new and improved products.
· Morehampton Food: Commercial, Production, and Innovation: Drive commercial, production, and innovation strategies for Morehampton Food, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
· Excellent In-Store Delivery: Ensure the highest standards of product delivery in-store.
Oversee visual merchandising, product placement, and stock levels to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
· Range Implementation and Store Operations: Manage the implementation of product ranges in stores, ensuring seamless integration and operations.
· Retailer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers in SuperValu and Centra.
Engage with key stakeholders to drive product adoption and sales growth.
Experience and Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master's degree is a plus
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the food industry
· Proven track record in managing end-to-end commercial processes and achieving financial targets · Strong knowledge of food innovation, NPD, and EPD processes
· Excellent leadership and team management skills · Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
