Job Description An established financial services business is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team, with a strong focus on financial control, governance, and statutory reporting.
This role will suit a qualified accountant who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls, and working closely with both auditors and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Review and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations, improving financial controls and identifying risks or anomalies.
Support the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts, including audit coordination and supporting documentation.
Implement and maintain clear financial governance processes, including approvals, reviews, and bank account controls.
Work closely with finance and wider business teams to review existing processes and recommend practical improvements.
Requirements: Qualified accountant with 2 years' PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
Strong background in financial control, reconciliations, and balance sheet oversight.
Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
This role would be particularly well suited to a qualified accountant with around 2 years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a financial services environment such as banking or lending.
