We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team on-site, supporting a very high-profile pharmaceutical client in County Limerick.
Duties And Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is on High Voltage (HV) systems within a regulated environment.
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) systems, including switchgear, transformers, and protection relays.
* Manage the testing and validation of HV equipment, ensuring operational safety and full compliance with relevant standards.
* Support maintenance schedules, and execute troubleshooting and repair for HV electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Develop and manage HV Switching plans for the site electrical team.
* Collaborate effectively with project teams to meet technical specifications and ensure high-quality engineering outcomes for the client.
* Work with advanced equipment and innovative solutions, promoting continual improvement in safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum Level 7 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* Demonstrable hands-on experience in HV/MV systems, covering assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a complex industrial or regulated environment (e.g., Pharma, Data Centre, Heavy Manufacturing).
* Very strong experience in Industrial HV electrical systems is required.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems.
* Strong PC literacy skills.
Desirable Knowledge:
* Knowledge of ATEX directives.
* Experience with DC power systems and grid maintenance standards.
