Venue General Manager – Dublin South
Excel Recruitment is delighted to announce we are recruiting a Venue General Manager for our client’s state-of-the-art entertainment venue in South Dublin. Spanning over four floors, their facility features a dynamic game space, versatile events space, a chic bar, and a contemporary restaurant. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Venue Manager, Hotel Manager or Events Manager for this position and come on this new exciting journey with our clients.
Salary: €60k - €65k
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage a team of up to 50 staff members, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Recruit, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service
• Ensure the efficient operation of all areas, including games space, events space, bar, and restaurant
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to optimise efficiency and customer experience
• Manage profit and loss statements, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial targets and increase profitability
• Collaborate with the culinary team to design and update menus, ensuring a high-quality dining experience
• Oversee food pricing strategies to balance cost control with customer satisfaction
• Plan and coordinate corporate and private events, ensuring all requirements are met to the highest standard
• Work closely with clients to tailor events to their specific needs and expectations
• Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all guests
• Address customer feedback promptly and effectively to ensure a positive experience
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Venue Manager or in a similar managerial role within the hospitality industry – preferred Hotels or Events industry
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating large teams
• Excellent understanding of profit and loss management
• Demonstrated experience in food service, including menu planning and pricing
• Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
