Our client, a rapidly expanding technology organisation, is seeking a Network Engineer to support the design, maintenance, and optimisation of enterprise network environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work across routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security within a high-availability environment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of supporting both project work and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain enterprise network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Support network configuration, upgrades, and optimisation efforts.
Troubleshoot complex network incidents across LAN, WAN, and VPN services.
Monitor network performance, capacity, and security posture.
Work closely with security teams to support firewall rulesets, threat prevention, and secure connectivity.
Assist with network design, documentation, and topology updates.
Support network automation initiatives where applicable.
Implement best practices for resilience, redundancy, and failover.
Provide technical input for new infrastructure projects.
Required Experience 35 years experience as a Network Engineer.
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Understanding of firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments.
Desirable Skills CCNA or CCNP certification.
Experience with network automation tools or scripting.
Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies.
Education Degree in IT, Networking, or related field preferred.
