What You Need to Know: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join a well‑established organisation. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate payroll operations, making a real impact across the business.
Your New Job: In this position, you'll be responsible for overseeing all stages of payroll processing, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with colleagues across different departments to align payroll data and support business needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the timely and accurate processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
Maintain full compliance with payroll legislation and statutory obligations
Complete payroll submissions to Revenue, ensuring deadlines and accuracy
Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, and reports for period‑end processes
Calculate statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity, paternity, and benefits in kind
Oversee onboarding and leaver payroll processes, including final payments and taxation
Reconcile pension contributions and coordinate with providers
Monitor and maintain records for holidays and working hours
Undertake regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams
Track changes in payroll legislation and recommend improvements to payroll processes
What Are We Looking For?
At least 4 years’ experience in Irish payroll processing
Strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue requirements (and UK Legislation preferably)
Familiarity with payroll software (e.g. Payday, BrightPay, or similar)
IPASS qualification (or equivalent) preferred
Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality
Strong organisational and communication abilities
