Overview
Agency Nurse - Community Monday to Friday. Clarity are recruiting for a Registered General Nurse to be part of the Public Health Team with the HSE in Dublin South. The areas covered include Booterstown, Blackrock, Dún Laoghaire, Monkstown, Stillorgan, Sallynoggin, Dalkey, Foxrock, Killiney, Cabinteely, Shankill, and Loughlinstown. The staff will work within Primary Care in the PHN service, delivering a coordinated approach to client care. The Community Nurse will maintain a high standard of nursing care, share responsibility with the community nursing team for the management of nursing care and the patient environment, and uphold professional and ethical standards. The work base is the Primary Care Centre. Care is delivered in the client’s home and in clinic settings. Access to own transport is required. Staff are eligible to claim travel allowance for work-related travel. The service is provided Mon to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The working week is negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Wound care management – both in clinic and in the domiciliary setting
* Diabetes management
* Incontinence assessment and management
* Nursing assessment post hospital discharge/GP referral
* General nursing care for the chronically ill or disabled
* Oncology support and end of life care
* Nursing assessment for home supports
The Ideal Candidate Should Be/have
* NMBI registration in good standing
* General nursing training preferred; midwifery or paediatrics backgrounds considered; dual qualifications advantageous
* Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience within an acute setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Technical and professional nursing expertise
* Onsite training and orientation provided

Additional Notes
Part-time/set hours available for the right candidate. 2-3 weeks of training offered to orientate new nurses to the team. Nurse-led service with autonomy in nursing. A stepping stone to PHN work and opportunities to specialise in the community or in acute settings in the future. This role is part of the Community Nurse pathway with potential for development.
