Key Responsibilities:
* Promote and maintain effective pricing policies for sea freight services, ensuring alignment with senior management and headquarters.
* Communicate current pricing policies to internal teams and implement them accordingly.
* Maintain accurate records of client budgets and forecasts, reporting regularly to the commercial director.
* Prepare commercial budgets and manage approved funds to ensure targets are met.
* Develop new business opportunities through targeted account management and team collaboration.
* Compile weekly performance reports for commercial management and head office.
* Support export documentation managers in meeting client needs through close collaboration with the export and commercial departments.
* Foster strong customer relationships through regular site visits and promotional activities.
* Participate in European trade meetings as required.
This role requires occasional travel to client sites, with the majority of work being office-based. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, experience in developing commercial export sales processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
* A minimum of five years' experience in the container shipping line or sea freight forwarding industry.
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
* Strong understanding of global international markets, clients, and logistics.
* Ability to negotiate effectively with existing and prospective clients.
* Strategic thinking and planning skills to develop business growth plans.
* Creative problem-solving skills to improve commercial processes.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and motivate a small team.
* Geographical awareness and mathematical skills to understand market trends.
* Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
