Job Title: Technical Business Analyst - Cards & Payments Location: Greater Dublin Area (Hybrid) Salary: 65-70 K + benefits package About the Role Hiring on behalf of a client seeking a driven Technical Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in scoping and designing a major new capability in the card payments and financial services space.
This is a highly engaged, customer-facing BA position where you'll run workshops, translate complex business needs into detailed technical specifications, and help shape innovative payment and onboarding solutions from discovery through delivery.
Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Produce detailed functional and technical specifications, user journeys, epics, stories, and process flows.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical/delivery teams.
Identify current needs while proactively suggesting enhancements and future-proofing opportunities.
Own the creation of solution design documentation that becomes the blueprint for development.
Supervise delivery to ensure the final product matches the agreed requirements.
Contribute ideas and best practices to continuously improve customer and end-user experience.
Manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-moving payments environment.
Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in card payments, acquiring, issuing, or customer onboarding solutions.
Strong ability to understand and document complex systems and integrations.
Hands-on experience running workshops and producing high-quality technical design documents.
Comfortable working in Agile environments and familiar with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive, structured approach and genuine ownership mentality.
Knowledge of payment schemes, 3 DS, tokenisation, or customer lifecycle platforms highly advantageous.
