Field Telecoms Engineer
Standard Utilities is expanding our engineering team and we are looking for a Field Telecoms Engineer to support our customers across the Midlands and West of Ireland.
This role is ideal for someone based in or around Athlone, Mullingar or Longford, with regular travel to counties including Galway, Roscommon, Sligo, Westmeath.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of a wide range of telecoms and connectivity solutions.
This includes Yeastar phone systems, CallSwitch hosted systems, broadband circuits, routers, access points and network hardware.
The role involves travelling to customer sites such as schools and businesses, carrying out fault diagnostics and ensuring a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure Yeastar phone systems
Install and support CallSwitch hosted VoIP solutions
Install broadband and networking equipment including DrayTek routers and WiFi access points
Carry out diagnostics and resolve faults on phone systems, broadband lines and network infrastructure
Complete scheduled site visits for maintenance, upgrades and project work
Work closely with the Service Director and support team to ensure smooth delivery of installations
Maintain accurate job notes, documentation and site records
Provide excellent customer service and represent Standard Utilities in a professional manner
Requirements
Experience in telecoms, IT networking or field engineering
Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, LAN, VLAN and WiFi technologies
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults independently
Full clean driving licence
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Flexibility to travel across the region each day
