IT Support Specialist Type: Contract Role - 3 months initially (Good scope to extend - subject to client's business needs) Location: Dublin 24 (Onsite/Hybrid) Onsite 5 days per week for initial first weeks then 3 days onsite & 2 days remote each week.
Day Rate:240 eur Start Date: Mon 22nd Sept (Interviews now taking place) Overview: The successful candidate will resolve Help Desk service requests in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating both technical expertise and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Respond to and resolve Help Desk service requests via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
Deliver technical support and troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively.
Provide professional and courteous communication to end-users at all times.
Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and networking issues.
Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support leads or service groups.
Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Document solutions and contribute to a knowledge base to improve future service.
Participate in training and upskilling related to new technologies and support practices.
Support ongoing and ad-hoc IT projects as required.
Uphold and promote high standards of customer service within the IT team.
Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience providing desktop and application support in a business environment.
Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory and user management.
Solid knowledge of PC hardware and troubleshooting (hardware/driver configuration, diagnostics, etc.).
Good grasp of Windows networking protocols.
Proficiency in installing and configuring commonly used software applications.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Well-organized with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently and handle changing priorities under pressure.
Preferred Experience: Background in supporting business-critical applications.
Prior exposure to structured Help Desk or Service Desk environments.
