Position: Full time Assistant to Head Green Keeper
Main Responsibilities
* Support the Head Green Keeper in maintaining the golf course to a high standard.
* Mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
* Raking, weeding and edging bunkers.
* Help with the upkeep of the clubhouse and its surrounds, including flower beds and carpark.
* Assist with irrigation, fertilisation, and turf care (training provided).
* Learn to operate a variety of machinery and equipment safely.
* Help monitor course conditions and report any issues.
* Contribute to seasonal projects, renovations, and improvements.
* Keep basic records of work completed and supplies used.
* Follow Health & Safety guidelines to keep members, guests, and staff safe.
* Be part of weekend and holiday rotas when required.
* Lend a hand with club events and special projects.
What We're Looking For
* A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
* Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* An interest in golf, sports turf, or general landscaping (desirable, but not required).
* Ability to work well in a team and follow guidance.
* A positive, flexible attitude and readiness to take on new challenges.
* Knowledge of the game of golf.
Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or machinery use is welcome but not essential—we will provide training and ongoing support.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
* Qualification in turf management, horticulture, or a related field.
* Familiarity with turf machinery or basic mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
* First aid certification.
* Full driving licence.
