Ayrton Group are seeking a Traffic Permit Manager to join our client, an Engineering group, on a major public transport infrastructure project in Dublin.
This is an initial 6-month contract role with the potential for extension, commencing as soon as possible.
This role offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of three days on-site weekly, either at the primary work location in Dublin 7 or other project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate traffic licences associated with Design and Build Contractor's site activities during project construction stage.
Facilitate cross-scheme, site level coordination of traffic licence management activities among key internal and external stakeholders (Contractor, Local Authorities, Emergency Services, TII, An Garda Siochana etc).
Facilitate the smooth processing and acceptance of traffic licences using the RMO MRL System in the line with the Scope of Services of the Contract.
Work closely with the D&B Contractor to manage and track licence applications, ensuring wider agreements and consents are in place prior to traffic licences being implemented on site.
Provide assurances to key stakeholders that traffic licence applications are associated with approved works.
Act as the point of contact for all matters relating to traffic licences across the schemes at construction stage.
Key Experience:
Required to have 5+ years' traffic management experience with at least 2 years' experience carrying out temporary traffic management activities on construction projects in a live urban environment on high value road projects or projects of a similar scale and complexity.
Traffic Management Orders and procedures, including T1, T2 and T5 traffic permits processes.
Road safety, traffic incident management, traffic control and safety procedures.
Working knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
Dealing with a range of stakeholders and influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
Working within fast paced and challenging environments.
Providing administrative support and organisation to senior leaders.
Delivery of work under time pressure and with conflicting priorities.
Taking ownership of activities to drive desired outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Practicing / Training / Compliance Certification.
Formal training / certification in Chapter 8 is desirable.
SLG CSCS card is desirable.
Safe Pass accreditation is desirable.
You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
Additional Requirements:
Fully proficient in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies;
Familiarity with the Road Management Office systems for processing Traffic Permits
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service delivery;
Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues;
Ability to step back from the detail and take a holistic overview;
Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and deliver consistent service;
High level of attention to detail;
Ability to manage client expectations and deliver within agreed parameters;
Ability to work in a challenging environment both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
