As a leader in Safety Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's safety culture and driving excellence across the business. Your responsibilities will encompass managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities, ensuring seamless compliance with legislative requirements and ISO standards, and developing strategic safety initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead all EHS activities across head office and project sites, fostering a proactive and risk-aware culture.
* Manage and maintain our Integrated Management System (IMS), guaranteeing continuous improvement and adherence to industry best practices.
* Ensure full compliance with EHS legislation and ISO standards, minimizing risks and promoting a safe working environment.
* Identify and manage High-Risk Activities (HRAs) across multiple locations, implementing targeted mitigations and controls.
* Develop and deliver Ramifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), toolbox talks, and safety alerts, engaging stakeholders and promoting awareness.
* Conduct thorough incident investigations and manage corrective actions, driving learning and improvement.
* Mentor junior team members, promoting a coaching approach to team management and reinforcing a people-first mindset.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting through SharePoint, optimizing transparency and accountability.
Necessary Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)
* 35 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or industrial EHS roles, demonstrating depth and breadth of expertise.
* Strong communication skills, enabling effective engagement with all stakeholders, from senior leadership to frontline teams.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with SharePoint, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
* Willingness to travel to project sites as required, embracing flexibility and adaptability.
