The Role
A highly successful group, is seeking a maternity leave replacement for a period of 12 months for the position of FP&A Manager. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical financial accounting experience, a high level of commercial business acumen and the ability to present financial information to all levels of the organisation. This role will suit an ambitious, detailed orientated candidate seeking to move to a senior role in a dynamic Irish owned group.
Role and Responsibilities
* Lead the financial planning process across the group, including quarterly, annual, and long-term budgeting.
* Proactively review and challenge the financial plans / forecasts and understand key drivers and assumptions liaising with teams across the group to ensure that costs are understood.
* Strategically manage ongoing financial analysis, including monthly/quarterly budget variance analyses at group-wide and department levels.
* Evaluate new product features and innovation proof of concepts to access business impact and provide rigours ROI financial analysis.
* Enhance the firm’s approach to measuring and reporting on profitability.
* Lead the monthly department budget review process, providing appropriate analysis to budget owners / interested parties so that issues can be resolved in a timely manner.
* Support and advise on strategic transactions and other special projects within Finance working closely with the CFO or the Group Finance Director.
* Act as key business partner to wider business
* Constantly look for ways to improve processes and add value to the function.
* Working closely with other members of the Finance team to develop best-in-class reporting and analysis to drive understanding of performance and communication of this to key stakeholders.
* Contributing to the continued development and maintenance of the financial knowledge and awareness of budget holders, the management team and other relevant interested parties.
Requirements
* Qualified accountant ACA / ACCA
* 5+ years PQE industry experience.
* Keen attention to detail
* Demonstrate initiative, be self-motivating with strong organisational skills and track record of delivering results
* Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability
* A strong level of verbal and written communication skills including an ability to communicate well with senior management
* Excellent IT skills, in particular advanced Excel. Experience with fully integrated ERP systems, preferably Netsuite.
