Overview
The Site Manager will oversee all on-site precast installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, to the required quality standards, and in compliance with company procedures. The role involves managing installation crews, coordinating with main contractors, and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise all precast installation works on site.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company safety procedures.
* Review and implement Method Statements (MS) and Risk Assessments (RAMS).
* Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox talks.
* Manage and coordinate installation crews, crane operations, and deliveries.
* Liaise closely with the Main Contractor's site team to coordinate sequencing, crane access, pods, windows, and screeds.
* Oversee QA/QC checks - including wall, stair, landing, vertical tie bar, and slab inspections - and ensure sign-off prior to grouting or pours.
* Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and installation logs.
* Manage site logistics and ensure material deliveries are scheduled to align with installation progress.
* Monitor progress against programme and highlight potential delays or issues early.
* Support continuous improvement through feedback to design, production, and logistics teams.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in site management
* Proven ability to manage multiple crews and coordinate heavy crane operations.
* Strong understanding of precast elements, sequencing, and tolerance control.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proficient in reading technical drawings and working with digital site management systems (Autodesk, FieldView, etc.).
* Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., CIF Site Supervisor).
