We are seeking a Dosimetry Laboratory Supervisor to join our new Abbott Diabetes Care Kilkenny site. The role focuses on supervising the e-beam sterilisation dosimetry laboratory, maintaining the dosimetry monitoring program in compliance with GLP, GMP and regulatory requirements, ensuring CAPA activities completion, providing technical leadership, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide product and manufacturing support in a cGMP regulatory environment.
Supervise, develop, and mentor employees within the team.
Develop and drive the site dosimetry program, updating as appropriate.
Manage and co‑ordinate all dosimetry lab activities, including coordination with providers and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies and SOPs.
Write documentation for lab methods, equipment qualifications and validation and provide guidance.
Support laboratory set‑up and maintenance of equipment and consumables.
Lead lab training program on safety rules and regulations.
Review lab results to ensure accuracy and timely communication.
Ensure lab is validated and controlled, complying with ISO 11137 and internal requirements.
Provide technical guidance on dosimetry release methods, dose mapping, and curve calibration.
Lead problem‑solving efforts and provide technical advice as required.
Support unplanned events and raise out‑of‑spec results timely.
Initiate and complete CAPAs and Change Controls per site procedures.
Analyse product quality and process data using statistical techniques to identify trends and implement improvements; generate quarterly and annual reports.
Liaise with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Purchasing to ensure timely completion of activities.
Education & Experience
Third‑level science or manufacturing qualification (or equivalent).
Minimum four years of work experience in a manufacturing, science, quality or equivalent environment.
Experience with electron‑beam or other sterilisation technologies desirable.
Knowledge of ISO 11137 desirable.
Experience in chemistry, microbiology or dosimetry lab operations desirable.
