Job Description
The Senior Manager Value Manager is responsible for the cross leadership of a manufacturing business unit, specifically for setting EHS, manufacturing, quality, technical and planning tactics and strategy.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
* Ensure all manufacturing operations within the Value Stream conform to worldwide corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements for GMP, EHS and Quality.
* Develop and implement the Operational strategic imperatives in-line with the Joints & Site strategic objectives.
* Lead, empower and develop people, to facilitate a continuous improvement culture, with a growth mindset (both direct and indirect team members)
* Continually improve communication channels such as, Daily Production meetings, Value stream Planning meetings & Monthly Value Stream communications, etc.
* Drive and maintain customer focus within Value Stream.
* Reduce cost of manufacture year-on-year by actively encouraging, promoting and facilitating implementation of innovative solutions to ensure quality while delivering lower costs and shorter lead times.
* As required, engage with the Global Product Value Stream Leaders for Hip/Knee/Shoulder as required through standard work, projects, or escalations.
* Connect / participate in / lead Campus Ireland initiatives as required.
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Engineering, industrial engineering or other technical degree or equivalent.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
* Minimum of five years of people management experience
Desirable
* Master’s in business administration/production/engineering management
* Previous experience within the Healthcare/Medical Devices Sector
* Knowledge of capacity planning
* Basic project management skills.
* Formal 6-sigma/process excellence certification
