Salary – €45K - €65K + package
About the Company
Local Contractor with long-term work in the Waterford Area for the right person!
The successful candidate will be working on very interesting commercial project in Co. Waterford which is due to start in the coming weeks.
They require a strong engineer who is ambitious about moving in to Site Management/ Project Management. The position would suit someone with 3-4 years’ experience working as an engineer but also overseeing site supervision.
Key thing for them is to bring on someone who they can help progress into management, who will run future local jobs for them in the future.
The Role
* Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
* Performing checks on the quality of works completed to ensure works are done to a high standard.
* Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning of daily tasks for the project.
* Supervise multiple trades on site and act as a point of contact for subbies, architect and client.
* Ensure H&S standards are met and adhered to on site.
* Support the Project Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
* Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Requirements
* A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ Experience with a Main Contractor in ROI
* Must have experience dealing with Irish Water
* Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
