Job Title
A Head of Business Development & Sales is required for our County Galway based client.
The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing Business Development and Sales as it expands in a niche market – Water or Pharma Business Development skills in a Technical Market would be ideal. They will also be responsible for the expansion of through creating greater sales, generating sustainable profits and ensuring the design of a definitive product offering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the expansion by generating sales in Ireland, UK and globally.
* Develop relationships with supply chain partners (products/services) and customers.
* Keep informed of emerging industry trends in technology.
* Supervise, lead and mentor staff as required.
* Work with the Design and Delivery Departments to ensure that company products are incorporated into all projects.
* Work with the Commercial Dept to help manage the budget, project commercials and ensuring profitability.
* Attendance at Engineering Dept meetings, progress meetings and other meetings as required. o Production of monthly sales status reports as required.
* Travel and attendance at foreign and domestic conferences and tradeshows.
* Other duties as required from time to time and specified by the General Manager.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering/Science, plus suitable experience.
2. Proven track record in delivering sales & profits.
3. Experience selling a Technical product into the Water Industries.
4. Knowledge of the Technical products in a Pharma Processes would be advantageous.
5. Commercial awareness.
6. Experience in generating sales or growing businesses.
7. Ability to work on multiple assignments.
8. Effective time management and communication skills.
9. Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
10. Good understanding of quality, environmental and safety management systems.
11. Strong understanding of the regulatory aspects within the water and wastewater industry.
12. Good people skills & a team player.
13. Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
