This civils-based role is initially offered on a temporary basis (approx. one month) with a strong possibility of extension or permanent employment. It's a hands-on, site-focused position ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and enjoys taking full ownership of on-site delivery.
Responsibilities for Site Manager – Civils
1. Take full responsibility for daily site operations, overseeing the successful delivery of civils works from start to finish
2. Report directly to the Project Manager and Senior Management on progress, challenges, and milestones
3. Lead project teams and manage subcontractors to ensure quality output and adherence to timelines
4. Review drawings and specifications in detail, flagging any discrepancies or omissions to the design team promptly
5. Ensure works are carried out in line with building regulations, technical drawings, and health and safety best practices
6. Manage compliance across Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and documentation, including tracking of safe passes, operator tickets, and machinery certifications
7. Oversee traffic and pedestrian management plans, as required
8. Maintain daily and weekly reporting on project progress, resource use, and subcontractor performance
9. Engage professionally with clients and design teams throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements for Site Manager – Civils
10. Demonstrable experience managing civils projects, ideally those with logistical or programme complexities
11. Valid Irish Driving Licence, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling as minimum requirements
12. Additional certifications such as SLG, LUGS, or MSIC are advantageous
13. Confident managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control and site safety compliance
14. Comfortable working with standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital reporting systems
15. Ability to juggle multiple project demands while remaining focused on delivering results
16. Based in or within commutable distance of the North Leinster / Midlands area
