We are seeking a seasoned Accounts Assistant to join our team in Dublin West. As a leading supplier of health and nutrition products, we have been established for over 40 years with a strong presence in the Irish market.
This is a full-time, permanent role that reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) and works closely with a partner from a respected accountancy firm who provides technical consultancy advice on an ongoing basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, preparing VAT and VIES returns, creditors ledger processing, bank reconciliations, stock processing, maintenance of the fixed asset register, trial balance and nominal ledger maintenance, intercompany reconciliations, management accounts, and debtors control reconciliation.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
• Part or recently qualified accountant or accounting technician
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Hands-on experience processing payroll and VAT returns
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills
About the Role:
* Process payroll and payroll-related files
* Prepare VAT and VIES returns together with VAT RTD
* Creditors ledger processing and payments files
* Bank reconciliations
* Stock processing
* Maintenance of fixed asset register
* Trial balance and nominal ledger maintenance and reconciliation including accruals, prepayments, payroll and VAT journals
* Intercompany reconciliations
* Management accounts
* Debtors control reconciliation
