Job Description
The Site Engineering Manager is the key manager for all engineering, maintenance, facility, utility, calibration, and automation activities related to manufacturing current products and new product launches. You will lead, coach, and mentor the engineering team at the Cork site, maximizing equipment and process efficiencies through minimal unplanned equipment downtime achieved via proactive and predictive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Build, develop, and mentor a team of diverse professionals within your function.
2. Partner with the Senior Leadership team to execute site and enterprise-wide engineering strategies.
3. Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product availability, aligned with the production plan, while driving continuous improvements for Operational Excellence and improved financial performance.
4. Ensure the development and delivery of the engineering organizational vision and strategic objectives.
5. Take responsibility for Health & Safety, as well as Environmental and Energy Sustainability Programs within the engineering function.
6. Develop senior-level relationships to resolve critical issues, deliver cost savings, and implement value-added processes, ensuring site Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) metrics are consistently achieved.
7. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects within the engineering function.
8. Work with the quality system to ensure full compliance with site quality policies, GMP, and GDP standards.
9. Contribute to the development of Global Engineering initiatives as an active participant.
10. Champion and lead Culture & Engagement and EEDI initiatives within the engineering function and across the site.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with 10+ years of engineering management experience.
2. 5+ years of People Management experience, with demonstrated ability to develop key talent and set clear vision and strategy for your team.
3. Experience with Condition Monitoring and Predictive Monitoring Programs.
4. OPEX Black / Green belt certification preferred.
5. Experience engaging, collaborating, and influencing at senior leadership levels.
6. Ability to think outside the box and provide solutions through structured troubleshooting methodologies.
