Job Summary:
As Graduate Surveyor your role is ensuring that Tuath's homes are safe, well-maintained, legally compliant, and fit for customers to live in. This role combines technical inspection, project management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance with a strong focus on social housing standards. The role involves dealing with various building surveying duties in the Property Services Department along with support to other internal departments and regional offices.
The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder is expected to perform or be responsible for. It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar type and level may be expected from time to time. The post holder will be responsible for a combination of the objectives described below and annual KPIs dependent upon the requirements of the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Functional):
* To undertake a range of building surveying duties such as property inspections, defect analysis, stock condition surveys, contract management, fire safety assessments and energy management programmes.
* Assisting in the inspection of works and providing feedback.
* Preparing reports on property related matters where required.
* Assisting with the preparation of schedules of works and tender packages.
* Assisting in the management of maintenance, repair and servicing contracts.
* Assisting in the management of planned and cyclical works contracts.
* Appointing Contractors and Professionals following Tuaths procurement guidelines
* Prepare reports and maintenance schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBIITIES (Organisational):
* Provide input into the Operational plans.
* Adopt a collaborative and supportive approach, maintaining up to date professional knowledge and providing advice and assistance to colleagues as required.
* Provide statistical data, information, and testimonials for annual report.
* In all aspects of the company's work, promote effective communications, excellence in customer service, and a focus on continuous improvement.
* Be pro-active in the development and maintaining of strong networks and relationships with colleagues and in other organisations and agencies, to ensure excellence in service delivery.
