About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Purpose of the role: As an autonomous practitioner, a Clinical Perfusion Scientist should offer a comprehensive specialist clinical and technical perfusion service during both routine and emergency procedures as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team during cardiac surgery. The Clinical Perfusion Scientist will also participate in the development of department protocols and research.
