About Your New Job
As the Health and Safety Officer, you will:
* Ensure compliance with all statutory health, safety, and welfare obligations.
* Maintain and continuously improve EH&S performance, including adherence to ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
* Review, develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for facilities, equipment, and activities.
* Ensure appropriate PPE is provided and correctly used by employees.
* Conduct regular in-house audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
* Organise and deliver health and safety training and inductions to employees and contractors.
* Act as the first point of contact for health and safety-related matters.
* Promote a proactive safety-conscious culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
What Skills You Need
* Diploma or Degree level qualification in Health and Safety.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety role in a manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience in conducting audits and inspections to monitor health and safety compliance.
* Experience in incident investigations and 'Root Cause Analysis' in a manufacturing setting.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
* Full clean driving licence.
