* Main Responsibilities:
o Overall management of a fast-paced checkout department, ensuring seamless transactions and optimal customer satisfaction.
o Supervision of a team of 8-10 staff members on duty, providing guidance and coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
o Rostering for a team of approximately 25, including supervisory staff, to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
o Effective queue management and delivery of excellent customer service, maintaining a positive store environment.
o Ensuring all staff have the necessary tools and resources required for their role, facilitating their success and productivity.
o Covering tills during peak periods and supporting the customer service desk, providing assistance as needed.
o Overseeing the store end of home delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
o Departmental housekeeping and adherence to relevant legislation, upholding high standards and compliance.
o Staff training, development, and mentoring, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
