This role supports the Bar Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading the bar team, and ensuring outstanding service, product quality, and guest satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the day-to-day operations of the hotel main bar and floor operations.Ensure smooth, efficient service during all shifts.Maintain consistently high standards of service in line with brand standards.Act as a visible presence within bar and floor, engaging with guests and handling requests or complaints professionally and promptly.Floor duties & responsibility will be required acting as a role model to other staff members.Ensure all food & beverage is prepared and presented to hotel standards.Monitor service speed, quality, and guest experience during peak and off-peak periods.Act as role model and lead, motivate, and supervise bartenders and support staff.Assist in training new team members on service standards, beverage knowledge, upselling techniques, and hotel procedures.Conduct daily briefings and communicate promotions, events, and service priorities.Support performance management by providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members.Assist with stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier deliveries.Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and ensure proper storage of beverages and supplies.Support accurate cash handling, POS operation, and end-of-shift reconciliations.Assist in achieving revenue targets through effective upselling and promotional execution directed by the Bar(s) Manager.Ensure full compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.Always enforce responsible alcohol service policies.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented bar environment.Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any faults promptly.Assist the Bar Manager with rotas, attendance monitoring, and scheduling.Support menu updates, beverage listings, and promotional initiatives.Perform any ad-hoc duties as directed by Management.This job description is not intended to be either prescriptive or exhaustive, it is issued as a framework to outline main areas of responsibility at the time of writing.Required Experience & SkillsAt least 1-2 years of high-volume bartending or hospitality experience, with a focus on leadership. inventory management, and customer service.Experience in training & developing other team members.Proficiency with POS systems.Experience managing inventory, stock rotation, and ordering.Exceptional interpersonal skills to handle complaints and deliver a welcoming atmosphere.Eligibility to work in Ireland.The Grace Westport Estate is an equal opportunity employer.
