The primary responsibility of the Senior Business Analyst – SAP S/4HANA SCM (Supply Chain Management) is to analyze and resolve complex, cross-module SAP issues in the Supply Chain domain.
This role involves root-cause analysis, targeted end-user training, and providing consulting services to Design, Project, and Technical Teams.
The Senior Business Analyst will provide leadership and expertise to junior team members and identify opportunities for effective use and implementation of SAP-related technology and solutions.
Job Duties
1. Serve as the primary production support contact for Operations (Materials Management, Distribution, Quality Management, Production Planning) and regulatory business user communities (end-users, key-users, process owners).
2. Act as the SAP support team Subject Matter Expert for SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Operations, including material management, distribution, quality management, and production planning.
3. Provide leadership related to SAP S/4HANA Production support and problem resolution.
4. Coordinate between the support SAP team and other internal IT groups like BASIS and Technical/Development Teams to resolve complex issues.
5. Review resolutions and proposed solutions for business impact, ensuring alignment with global templates and standards.
6. Ensure SLA compliance through functional and technical expertise, maintaining efficient application support and adherence to all regulatory and security standards.
7. Follow change control, access control, and landscape management processes.
8. Evaluate and approve support-driven changes for production deployment.
9. Participate in project/enhancement initiatives as needed.
10. Monitor and respond to system interdependencies, common problems, and opportunities for improvement during SAP project rollouts and upgrades.
11. Monitor system performance and alerts, responding promptly to issues.
Minimum Education and Experience
* 7+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Material Management, Distribution, Quality Management, and Production Planning, including project delivery across all SDLC phases.
* Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA SCM customization or configuration.
* Understanding of SAP S/4HANA SCM integration with other modules.
* Experience in template design and business consulting.
* Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA Platform is essential.
Technical and Functional Skills
* Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise across organizational levels.
* Deep understanding of SAP-based operational processes.
* Ability to develop user stories and requirements in collaboration with global teams.
* Extensive configuration knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Operations and Source to Pay, including MM, FI, CO, SD, EWM.
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA logistics processes, interfaces, IDOC functionality, and middleware.
* Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps and integration with SAP MDG and SAP APO.
* Knowledge of SAP materials management, logistics execution, quality management, and production planning configurations.
