**Job Title:** Mental Health Nurse Specialist
As a dedicated mental health nurse specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a safe and supportive environment for patients to receive the treatment they need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-operate with employers and comply with relevant laws and regulations, including the Health Act 2007 and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
• Ensure that Personal Plans (PPs) and Individual Care Plans (ICPs) are up-to-date and that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
• Familiarize yourself with local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures, and adhere to them always.
• Utilize company IT systems as instructed and maintain confidentiality of company and personal data.
• Report any concerns for patient safety to your line manager or other appropriate personnel within the organization.
• Maintain the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidance.
• Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication Plans, and supporting documents outlining supports for individuals.
• Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual's community.
• Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family, and other supports as outlined within individual Personal Plans.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to patients and staff.
