The role of IT Support Engineer is to provide assistance and support to users in resolving technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and peripherals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and configure computer hardware and peripherals, operating systems and applications
* Manage partitions, format drives, etc
* Liaise with coordinators to receive upgrade schedules and perform upgrades
* Escalate issues where necessary to the technical point of escalation
* Prioritise, manage and respond to Service Desk calls in a timely manner
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service experience, managing issues through to resolution, and establishing good working relationships with customers and end-users.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* A minimum of 1 year's experience working in an IT Support environment
* An excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite and report writing
* Good problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
