We are currently renovating a landmark historic pub in Dublin 4, restoring it with a simple aim: to create a favourite local – great cocktails, well‑chosen craft beers and wines, and warm, genuine hospitality. We are looking for a hands‑on General Manager to lead this high‑profile launch and establish a culture of genuine, consistent hospitality.
The Role
This is a "boots on the ground" leadership position. Working directly with the owners, you will shape the business from day one – from hiring your team to refining the service style. You are joining a small, independent group where the success of this site will naturally create future opportunities for the right leader as we expand.
What You’ll Bring
Hands‑on Leadership: You lead from the floor, not the office. You are a visible presence who sets the pace and leads by example.
Commercial Drive: You know how to build a business. You are proactive in driving sales through creative events, local promotions, and community engagement.
Financial Acumen: You have a sharp eye for the numbers – managing GP, labour costs, and stock control to ensure the business is as profitable as it is popular.
Team Development: You know how to recruit, train, and inspire a team to maintain high standards even under pressure.
Experience: A proven track record as a Bar or General Manager in a high‑quality Irish hospitality environment.

Taking full ownership of daily operations and service standards.
Implementing creative ideas to drive mid‑week trade and weekend atmosphere.
Mentoring a new team to deliver warm, confident service.
Managing suppliers, ordering, and rigorous compliance.
Building a loyal local following through consistent quality and atmosphere.
