This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team at the School of the Human Environment, University College Cork. We are seeking an individual with excellent research skills and experience in community-engaged, ethnographic qualitative research.


Job Description

The successful candidate will be involved in developing a dynamic fisheries community profile framework for Irish fisheries. This project aims to advance knowledge and practice by integrating quantitative and qualitative data. The researcher will engage with local communities, industry, stakeholders, enhance marine governance and fisheries management.


Key Responsibilities:

* To develop fishery community profiles in Ireland using established methodology
* To compile datasets on fishery communities through scholarly review
* To conduct statistical analysis on fishing practices

We welcome applications from individuals who have prior work experience on similar projects or those interested in advancing their career as postdoctoral researchers.
