Clinical specialists in radiography are responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to patients. This role involves working closely with the Radiology Services Manager to ensure efficient cross-site services.
The clinical specialist will oversee the CT service, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to continually develop and improve the service. They will also be responsible for training, development, and maintaining competence for the CT team.
To be successful in this role, you will need a BSc Diagnostic Radiography qualification recognised by the Irish Institute of Radiography, along with CORU registration and a minimum of 6 years post-graduation clinical experience. A minimum of 3 years' experience working at a senior level in a CT department is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the CT service, ensuring quality and consistency
* Train and develop staff to maintain competence
* Work closely with the Radiology Services Manager to deliver efficient cross-site services
* Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and staff training
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc Diagnostic Radiography from the Irish Institute of Radiography
