About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Director / Director of Strategic Communications & Government Relations who will bring insight, strategic clarity, and creative thinking to some of Ireland’s most significant organisations.This is a role for someone who thrives on being a trusted advisor, someone who brings sound judgement, political and media intelligence, and an ability to navigate complexity with confidence. You will lead advisory for clients at pivotal moments, help them anticipate reputational opportunities and risks, and work with them to craft communications that are purposeful, compelling, and aligned to long‑term business ambitions.What You Will DoLead with Insight & CreativityShape and deliver insightful, creative, and strategically robust communication strategies reflecting our belief that insight and creativity sit at the core of impactful work.Simplify complexity for senior leaders, ensuring every recommendation is grounded in strong analysis and clear strategic direction.Be a Trusted Advisor to Senior LeadersProvide counsel to CEOs, Boards, and senior executives on high‑stakes issues, reputation‑shaping moments, and long‑term communication strategies.Lead proactive and reactive reputation programmes supported by strong media insights and compelling narrative development.Develop public affairs and government relations strategies that connect client objectives with the realities of Ireland’s policy landscape. You will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional portfolio of clients, engage with Irish and global thought leadership, and collaborate with our sister agencies across the wider VML and WPP networks, benefiting from world‑class strategic, creative and international perspectives.We offer a highly competitive and thoughtfully designed remuneration package, including salary, pension/PRSA contributions, supportive healthcare benefits, education assistance, and a personal training and development budget. A meaningful performance‑related incentive plan, aligned to our strategic objectives, is also included.
