A leading Medical Device company is actively seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join its team based in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* To enhance the company's Automation capabilities, enabling cost-effective and competitive assembly options that drive new revenue streams.
* Support the Business Development team in winning new business opportunities in product development.
* Project Manage new product development/introduction projects when required.
* Develop and manage Automation systems for both new and existing products.
* Collaborate with customers and potential clients to promote the company's expertise in Automation for improved manufacturing processes.
* Provide technical reports, proposals, and simulations for production lines.
* Lead new automation projects from concept to full production, encompassing URS development, integration partner sourcing, and build implementation.
* BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER SITES TO SHARE AUTOMATION INITIATIVES AND BEST PRACTICES.
Requirements:
* NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics or Automation-related discipline).
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar design/project management engineering role in manufacturing or equipment build environments.
* Excellent knowledge of equipment and process debug troubleshooting skills.
* Experience in Design for Manufacturing.
* Familiarity with PLC programming, Pneumatics, Robotics, Product assembly techniques, Label Applicators, Laser Marking, and Tooling Design is an advantage.
