Warehouse Operative;
The primary responsibility will be to handle the day-to-day operations within a busy warehouse environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. Your duties will involve various physical tasks, record-keeping, and collaboration with team members to meet organisational objectives.
This role involves but is not limited to:
· Receiving and Dispatching: Receive incoming goods, unload deliveries, and inspect them for damage or discrepancies.
· Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by organising and shelving items appropriately. Conduct regular stock checks, identify discrepancies, and report any issues to supervisors. Assist with cycle counting and physical stock audits as required.
· Order Processing: Fulfil customer orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure timely delivery. Utilise warehouse management systems and technology to facilitate order processing efficiently.
· Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, or other equipment to safely and efficiently move goods within the warehouse. Load and unload trucks, stack and organise products, and maintain a clean and organised work area.
· Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and warehouse protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and report potential hazards or incidents promptly. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of received and dispatched goods, inventory levels, and other relevant data. Generate reports, such as daily activity logs, productivity reports, and incident reports, as needed.
· Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations. Support cross-functional tasks and assist colleagues when necessary.
