The successful candidates will work in assigned family homes across Galway City and surrounding areas.This is a permanent contract of employment working 26 hours each per week.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person centred care to people with dementia in the client's own home. You will need good communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who speaks Irish, as this is an Irish-speaking area.To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activates with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities.Full clean driving license and access to a car essential.A FETAC level 5 is desirable. Attend team and one to one meetingswith the Nurse/Daycare Manager to contribute to the on going development and enhancement of the service.The principal accountabilities outline the main duties.
