A leading global logistics organisation specialising in the value-added distribution of chemicals and related products is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join its Dublin- based team. This is a full-time permanent role offering stability, strong operational support, and excellent working conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Valid HGV licence. (Category C licence or Category C+E licence)
* ADR / HazChem certification (essential).
* Up-to-date CPC.
* Safe Pass (advantageous).
* Strong understanding of safety standards, GDP, and vehicle compliance.
* Professional, courteous manner with a strong focus on safety and service.
* Ability to work independently and follow structured procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
* Safely deliver and/or collect goods in line with all company and statutory requirements.
* Ensure full compliance with ADR, Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Food Safety requirements, and all relevant legislation.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, collections, and vehicle operation.
* Operate the vehicle safely and responsibly at all times, ensuring correct use of tachographs.
* Load and unload vehicles as required using appropriate manual handling equipment and PPE.
Operational Responsibilities
* Verify load accuracy prior to departure; ensure adequate load security at all times.
* Maintain ongoing communication with the Logistics Department during the working day.
* Follow all vehicle segregation and safety rules.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly in line with procedures.
* Maintain vehicle cleanliness internally and externally.
* Ensure first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and spill kits are present and correctly maintained.
* Follow all emergency procedures where necessary.
* Support training of new drivers when requested.
Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance
* Deliver and collect goods in accordance with GDP, Food Safety, ADR, and all responsible care standards.
* Report all accidents, near misses, incidents, or security issues immediately.
* Participate in all mandatory training as instructed.
* Fully cooperate with safety, environmental, security vetting, and legislative requirements.
* Ensure driver debrief is completed and documented daily.
