The airline is an employee-focused company with a commitment to providing staff with excellent working conditions and competitive salaries.Based at Dublin Airport, this position involves the processing of customer requests and queries in a prompt, accurate and efficient mannerReceive and process cargo telephone reservations and email communications in a prompt, accurate and efficient manner.Process customer booking requests and offer best possible solution considering revenue, contribution and capacity opportunities or constraintsMonitor and oversee the service provided by our Ground Handling Agent to ensure it is in line with EK standards, including build instruction, maximisation of available space, safety and special handling requirementsPrepare flight handling reports including identification and monitoring of irregularities and discrepanciesComplete administrative duties as directed by the Cargo Supervisor, including statistics and reportsHandle Customer requests for ad hoc quotes, in coordination with Pricing and Capacity Control departmentsComplete AWB stock transactionsProvide support in cargo commercial and operational activities as requiredQualificationQualifications/ExperienceEducated to the minimum standard equivalent of the Irish Leaving CertificatePrevious knowledge and experience within the air cargo and/or airport operations segmentsAwareness of IATA cargo standards and procedures. Cargo acceptance handling, knowledge of air cargo productUnderstanding of dangerous goods and pharmaceutical shipping procedures would be advantageousKnowledge and experienced user of computerised reservations system would be advantageousAbility to work on own initiative as well as being part of a teamAbility to multi-task and work in a fast pace moving environmentStrong communication skills both oral and writtenFluent in spoken and written EnglishA good appreciation of the concept of customer serviceAbility to proactively solve problemsAnalytical and numeracy skillsPC based skills including Microsoft Word/ Excel/ E-mailWilling and able to work shifts, including weekendsFull Valid Irish/EU Driving LicenseInformationApplications from staff who have not completed 12 months' service in their current position will not be considered.Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
