The organization is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 1 to lead our healthcare team on a detention campus, reporting directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 and accountable to the Campus Director.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing Integrated Primary Healthcare: Deliver comprehensive physical and mental health nursing services to young people in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
* Conducting Assessments & Reporting: Completing thorough nursing assessments, collating medical histories, and producing reports for courts and placement planning.
* Safeguarding & Legal Compliance: Fulfilling mandatory nurse reporting duties under the Children First Act 2015 and liaising with child protection officers as needed.
* Medication & Health Promotion: Managing medication safely and leading health education and promotion programs as part of holistic care planning.
Requirements:
* NMBI registration in good standing.
* A minimum of 1 year post-registration experience within an acute setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Both technical and professional expertise.
