Overview
Location: Tullamore, Co Offaly. Tenure: 60hrs a fortnight - Part Time Permanent. The successful candidate will become a key member of an evolving psychological services team led by the Principal Psychology Manager, working closely with the Senior Psychologist. The post holder will provide psychological supports to a broad range of individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health concerns. The office base is negotiable – Portarlington or Tullamore.
Role: Behaviour Therapist. The post is within the Muiriosa Foundation which re-imagines the role of the Behaviour Therapist with a person-centred, collaborative approach that focuses on relationship and connection. The Foundation promotes a human rights-based approach and seeks to work towards paradigm change.
Responsibilities
* Provide psychological supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health concerns.
* Work within a team led by the Principal Psychology Manager and in collaboration with the Senior Psychologist.
* Engage in comprehensive assessments to inform interventions; base interventions on the person’s strengths, needs and environment.
* Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate a broad range of service needs and a high degree of flexibility in working hours.

Qualifications and Requirements
* An honours primary degree in psychology or equivalent (essential).
* Post-graduate professional qualification in behavioural psychology or equivalent (e.g., BCBA), or working towards same (essential).
* Eligible for membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (essential).
* Experience with adults with intellectual disabilities and autistic adults with high support needs (essential).
* Experience in designing and developing individualised support arrangements for adults with exceptional needs (essential).
* Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for families and staff teams supporting people with complex needs (essential).
* Demonstrated competencies in delivering staff training.
* Understanding of the principles of social role valorisation.
* Commitment to person-centred values.
* Willingness and availability to work flexible hours in response to service demands (essential).
* Full driving licence, access to car and ability to travel across a broad geographical area (essential).
