Network Security Engineer

Contract - 6 to 12 Months initially
Seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join my client's team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managed services, experience with PaloAlto firewalls, and be CCNP certified. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions for clients.
- Configure and maintain PaloAlto firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their network security needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a network security engineering role within a managed services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of PaloAlto firewalls, including configuration and management.
- CCNP certification is required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or PaloAlto Networks certifications.
- Experience with other firewall technologies and security tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, .
