This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. It is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Eligibility will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
This placement is designed to provide hands‑on experience in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the hotel. The successful candidate will assist the caretaking team and learn how the hotel is maintained and prepared for guests and events. The role offers exposure to a wide range of tasks and routines that contribute to the smooth running of the property.
Training and Development
Formal Training:
Health and Safety procedures
Manual Handling certification
Fire Safety awareness
Introduction to hotel operations
Guest service standards
Informal Training:
On‑the‑job training alongside experienced staff
Observing and assisting with routine maintenance
Learning how to respond to operational needs
Developing teamwork and communication skills
Gaining insight into hospitality standards and expectations
