This position will be based in our head office in Ballymount, Dublin 22 and reporting to the Estimating Director,offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data centre projects and contribute to our continued success.RequirementsLead the CSA estimating function across a wide range of complex and large-scale tenders, ensuring high accuracy, in preparing estimates based on drawings and specificationsManage quantities and prepare pricing documentLead the development of obtaining detailed pricing for elements of the building from the Irish and European subcontractors and suppliersConduct thorough analysis using valuable data to benchmark and justify subcontractor selectionsAssist in the maintenance of the cost data basePresent the estimate to the Estimating Director and Board of DirectorsEngage and build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc)Keep informed of industry trends, market developments and pricing benchmarksLead in the continuous development of procedures and quality assurance standards across the departmentMentor, guide and develop a high-performing team of estimatorsCollaborate proactively with Mechanical and Electrical Estimators to ensure fully coordinated submissionUnderstand the company's high standards of safetyAble to identify potential risks on a projectSkills & QualificationsEstimating background with at least 8 years relevant experience working on large projectsBackground in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) engineering or proven previous trade experience.Previous experience managing a team of estimatorsProduce reports for management for bids & monthly meetingsKnowledge of FIDIC contractsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and in at least one of the more widely used QS BQ production software packages - e.g. Buildsoft or CostXAbility to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBenefitsOpportunity to work with a Market Leader in the Data centre IndustrySupportive career developmentCompetitive salary packageCollaborative team environmentPipeline of project growthWinthrop Technologies Ltd are an equal opportunities employer
