Accounts Assistant / Part Qualified Accountant Location: Cavan Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Onsite Overview Our client, a well-established and growing organisation within the transport and logistics sector, is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant or Part Qualified Accountant to join their finance team. This is a newly created role due to continued business growth and will report directly to the Financial Controller. It offers excellent exposure across the finance function along with a strong study support package for those progressing with professional exams. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Support month-end close processes, including journal postings and reconciliations Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes Support payroll processing and related reporting Prepare and assist with VAT returns and statutory compliance Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors Support process improvements across the finance function Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required Skills and Experience Strong Accounts Assistant or Part Qualified Accountant, ACCA, CIMA or ACA Minimum 2 years experience in a finance role Experience supporting month-end processes Strong systems experience and good Excel skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach Whats on Offer Study support package provided Direct exposure to the Financial Controller and wider business Opportunity to develop across the full finance function Career progression within a growing organisation Supportive and collaborative team environment If you are a match to the above role - please apply with your most recent CV to Bernadette Sisson for immediate consideration.
