Cardiac Diagnostics provides services to both inpatient and outpatient areas with a bed capacity of 246 beds (246 inpatients and 14 day beds).

The Cardiac Department carries out a wide range of diagnostic investigations which include the following:
ECG recording/interpretation and highlighting any abnormal findings.
******* Hour Ambulatory E.C.G. monitoring and analysis with full disclosures 24 BP monitoring and analysis with immediate report Event Monitors Loop Implants/Loop follow-up Home Monitoring using Care-Link Physiologist managed EST and report ICD/CRT/PPM follow up and reprogramming Tran thoracic Echocardiography (scanning and reporting) Contrast and Bubble studies.
Tran oesophageal Echocardiography Cardiac resuscitation.
The Candidate will be obliged to undertake both in house and external training courses for further CPD pending approval of same.
The hospital will provide the Physiologist with all of the practical and in service training required at higher level.
