We are seeking to recruit an experienced
Reception Supervisor
to join our Front Office Team.
The ideal candidates for this role will be confident, organised persons who has excellent attention to detail and excellent guest care skills.
A flexible attitude towards shift work is also essential and midweek and weekend work is involved.
About us:
The Kilkenny River Court Hotel is a premier 4-star city centre hotel and is superbly located adjacent to the main shopping areas, theatres, entertainment, tourist attractions, Kilkenny's Medieval Mile, and Kilkenny Castle.
We are part of the Neville Hotel group, a family-owned Irish Hotel Group with six iconic hotels.
Within the group are the 4* Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire County Dublin, the 5* Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort in Wicklow, the 4* Kilkenny River Court Hotel, the 4* Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre in Waterford City, the 4* Ravenport Resort in Wexford, and Whites of Wexford.
Experience:
The ideal candidates will be team players with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with 2 years previous Hotel Front Office experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests upon arrival and anticipate any assistance that may be required.
Encourage your team to maximise room occupancy at best rates.
Encourage your team to use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
Greet all guests upon arrival and anticipate any assistance that may be required.
Perform check-in, check-out, cash management tasks and account management.
Manage online and phone reservations when required.
Answer and direct calls through a switchboard to the agreed standard.
Action guest requests promptly and efficiently.
To ensure all security procedures with regards to guest's belongings such as luggage, storage or deliveries are carried out with the utmost care and attention.
To ensure all security procedures with regards to cash management and safe management.
Have a flexible attitude to working days and shifts in accordance with the departmental Rota.
Review guest requests prior to arrival and ensure same are communicated to the relevant departments.
Ensure allocations are complete as per guest requests and yield maximisation.
Ensure that all monies are accounted for e.g. floats counted at beginning and end of shift, suitable change, all cash balanced and appropriate floats are issued and returned.
All charge dockets are sign for and charging procedures are followed without exception.
To ensure that accurate profile and billing procedures are adhered to at all times.
Identify and support training needs and ensure all team members are continuously trained on, understand, and adhere to policies and practices.
Ensure that Front Office team members comply with service, uniform, and personal appearance standards.
