Job Title: Marketing Executive Location base: Waterford Start Date: ASAP Function: The Marketing Executive will champion the brand across digital and offline channels, growing awareness, referrals, and patient engagement.
The Marketing Executive will plan and deliver compliant campaigns, create high-quality content, and use data to optimise performance.

Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic & Campaign Management Own the annual marketing plan and budget; set objectives, define channel mix, and sequence activity to support clinic growth, referrer relations, and brand goals.
Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across web, SEO/SEM, social, email, print, events and PR, consistent with brand guidelines and advertising standards.
Lead key initiatives (e.g., service launches, patient education drives, referrer events): create timelines, briefs and success metrics; manage execution end-to-end.
Optimise performance through testing, targeting and clear KPIs (traffic, enquiries, conversion rates); report results and adjust plans accordingly.
Manage partners and suppliers, brief and coordinate agencies, designers, printers and media; negotiate costs, track deliverables and ensure quality control.
Maintain the marketing calendar and governance, aligning with clinical operations and ensuring approvals, risk checks and data-privacy compliance are in place.
Content & Communications Liaise with internal department managers to create engaging marketing materials such as patient booklets, brochures, and presentations.
Draft and adapt content for different audiences (patients, clinicians, referrers, and stakeholders).
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication channels.
Manage press releases and public relations activity, ensuring alignment with the brand.
Digital & Social Media Plan, create, and manage content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
Oversee Google Ad campaigns and Google Reviews management.
Support the creation of impactful content in written, video, digital format.
Analyse digital performance metrics and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
Engagement & Events Plan and coordinate PR events, conferences, expos, and optometry roadshows to increase brand awareness.
Engage with customers and referrers, responding to feedback and online reviews in line with company standards.
Work collaboratively with the in-house teams to develop strategies that strengthen engagement with referrers.
Market Insight & Analysis Monitor and report on marketing effectiveness, competitor activity, and industry trends.
Maintain a strong understanding of services and the wider Irish healthcare landscape.
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when unexpected issues arise (e.g. media queries).
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years' relevant experience within healthcare or a similar field.
Strong knowledge of marketing principles and current healthcare industry trends.
Proven experience managing digital and social media marketing.
Full clean driving licence (travel required).
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient across social media platforms, Glassdoor and digital content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite).
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all work.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with marketing analytics tools an advantage.
Creative mindset, proactive approach, and flexible attitude to changing priorities.
Positive, collaborative, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
